Md. Anowarul Islam is from Kazipur Upazilla of Sirajgonj District. He is a member of BCS (Administration) Cadre of 20^th Batch. He obtained B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). Subsequently, he completed M.P.A degree in Governance & Public Policy from Civil Service College under Dhaka University.

Before joining the government service he worked as an Engineer of System Operation of Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd. In his Civil Service career he served as Asstt./Sr. Asstt. Commissioner & 1^st class Magistrate of Laxmipur & Narayangonj District, UNO, Volahat, Chapainawabgonj, Sr. Asstt. Secretary, Power Division, ADC (Ed. & ICT), Faridpur, System Analyst (DS), Birth & Death Registration Project and Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Shipping.

He visited Finland, UK, South Africa, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, USA, China, Japan, Turkey, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, India, Sweden, Maldives, Australia as a member of official delegations and Saudi Arabia personally.

He is married and blessed with one son and one daughter. His only goal is to serve people and the nation as well.
